LG is the aggressive value play in mini-splits. Their Art Cool series has some of the best aesthetics on the market — they actually look like art rather than utility equipment. Performance is solid mid-tier; their inverter compressors are well-engineered. Where LG slips is long-term reliability — I see more 8-year-old LG control board failures than I do Mitsubishi or Daikin.
