Honest heating & air,
handled like it’s my own house.

Hi, I’m Emilio Solano. I started Carson Heating & Air because the South Bay deserves a tech who actually picks up the phone, shows up on time, and quotes a price you can trust. No dispatchers. No upsell. Just my truck, my number, and 22 years on the wrenches.

  • AC, heat & mini-splits — diagnosed same day
  • Flat-rate quotes before any work begins
  • 1-year warranty on every repair I make

What I do

Everything HVAC — one truck, one number.

I keep my service list short on purpose. These are the jobs I’ve done thousands of times across Carson, Torrance, and the harbor cities. If it isn’t on the list, call me anyway — I’ll either handle it or point you to the right person.

AC repair

Warm air, frozen coils, weak airflow, breaker tripping. Diagnosed and fixed same day in 9 out of 10 calls across Torrance and Carson.

AC installation

Right-sized systems from Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Bryant, and Mitsubishi. I do the Manual J myself — no oversold tonnage.

Furnace & heating

Gas furnaces, heat pumps, and wall heaters. Pilot won’t light, blower won’t kick — I bring the parts on the first visit.

Ductless mini-splits

Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, LG, Samsung. Perfect for ADUs, garage conversions, and the back room your central system never reaches.

Maintenance tune-ups

Spring and fall checkups. Cheapest hour you’ll spend — and the best way to skip a $4,000 emergency in July.

Indoor air & ducts

Sealing leaky ducts, swapping clogged filters, adding HEPA — especially helpful with summer wildfire smoke off the 405.

Every major brand — serviced and supported.

  • Carrier
  • Trane
  • Lennox
  • Bryant
  • Goodman
  • Rheem
  • York
  • Amana
  • American Standard
  • Mitsubishi Electric
  • Daikin
  • Fujitsu
  • LG
  • Samsung
  • Heil
  • Coleman
  • Honeywell

What to expect

From your text to a fixed system — in four steps.

I keep the process simple on purpose. There’s no booking portal, no third-party dispatcher, no surprise “trip charge” line item. Here’s exactly what happens when you reach out.

  1. 01

    Tell me what’s going on.

Send a 30-second note via the form above, or call (866) 982-3652. I read it on my phone, between jobs.

  2. 02

    I confirm a 2-hour arrival window.

I text you back, usually inside 15 minutes. Same-day in 9 out of 10 cases across Torrance, Carson, and Lomita.

  3. 03

You get a flat-rate quote — in writing.

I diagnose the system on-site, then write a fixed price before any work begins. No surprises, no “just one more thing.”

  4. 04

I fix it — and warranty it.

Repairs carry a 1-year parts-and-labor warranty. New systems carry the manufacturer’s warranty, up to 10 years. In writing, every time.

About the owner

A note from Emilio.

I started Carson Heating & Air the way most one-truck shops start — because I got tired of working for places that booked sixteen calls a day and rushed every single one.

My pitch is simple: I’ll show up when I said I would, I’ll tell you what’s actually wrong, and I’ll quote it before I touch anything. If you’ve been through a few HVAC companies and feel like you keep paying for the same problem twice, you’re going to like working with me.

When you call (866) 982-3652, you’re calling me — not a dispatcher in another state. If I miss it, I’m on a roof somewhere. Leave a voicemail or shoot me a text and I’ll get right back to you, usually inside 15 minutes.

Thanks for stopping by,
Emilio Solano — owner, Carson Heating & Air Conditioning

Four things I promise every customer.

01

I show up on time, or the diagnostic is free.

You get a 2-hour window. Miss it — on me — and the trip charge comes off the bill. Period.

02

Flat-rate, in writing, before I start.

No “just one more thing.” You see the number, you approve it, then I work.

03

Real parts, manufacturer warranty.

OEM components on every install. 1-year labor warranty on repairs, up to 10 years on full systems.

04

I clean up like I was never there.

Drop cloths, shoe covers, vacuum on the way out. Your floor looks the same as when I walked in.

I’m based at 3655 Torrance Blvd and run my own truck, so I keep the coverage tight on purpose. If you’re inside this circle — from the Hollywood Riviera up to West Carson and down to San Pedro — same-day service is almost always on the table.

Frequently asked

Straight answers to the questions I get every week.

These are the eight questions I hear most often before someone books their first service call with me. If yours isn’t here, just text it to (866) 982-3652 and I’ll answer it in plain English.

How fast can you get to my house in Torrance or Carson?

Same day, in 9 out of 10 cases. I’m based on Torrance Blvd and run my own truck across Torrance, Carson, Lomita, Harbor City, Wilmington, and the rest of the South Bay. Call (866) 982-3652 by lunchtime and I’ll usually be at your door before dinner. After-hours emergencies — call anytime.

What does it cost to call out an HVAC tech in the South Bay?

My standard service-call diagnostic in the Torrance / Carson area is around $89. That covers the trip, the inspection, and a written flat-rate repair quote. If you approve the repair, the diagnostic is rolled into the job — you don’t pay it twice. If I’m late to the agreed arrival window, the diagnostic is free.

Do you charge a separate diagnostic fee on top of the repair?

No. The diagnostic is folded into the repair price. You see one flat number in writing before any work starts, and that’s the number you pay.

Do you service Mitsubishi, Daikin, and other ductless mini-splits?

Yes. Mini-splits are a big part of what I do — Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, LG, and Samsung are all systems I install and repair regularly across South Bay homes, ADUs, and garage conversions. I keep common control boards and capacitors on the truck.

Can you replace my whole AC system in one day?

For most single-family homes in Torrance, yes — a like-for-like central AC swap is typically a one-day job, including the new condenser, coil, refrigerant lines, and a thermostat upgrade. Bigger jobs (full ducted system, new heat pump, panel upgrades) usually run two days. I’ll lay out the timeline before you sign anything.

Are heat pumps a good idea in the South Bay climate?

Heat pumps are an excellent fit for the South Bay. Our winters rarely drop below 45°F, which is the sweet spot where modern heat pumps run at their highest efficiency. You get heating and cooling from one system, lower utility bills, and you may qualify for federal tax credits and SoCal Edison rebates. Happy to size one for you.

Are you licensed and insured to do HVAC work in California?

Yes. Carson Heating & Air Conditioning operates under a California C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning contractor license, plus general liability and workers’ comp insurance. License and insurance certificates are emailed before any install, no questions asked.

Do you offer financing on full-system replacements?

Yes — I work with a couple of HVAC-specific lenders that offer 0% APR for 12–24 months for qualified buyers, and longer-term low-rate plans up to 120 months. We can also look at SoCal Edison rebates and federal tax credits to bring down out-of-pocket cost, especially on heat pumps.

Emilio came out the same afternoon I called. Found a bad capacitor on our condenser, replaced it for less than the last guy quoted us in diagnostic fees alone. He’s our HVAC guy now — full stop.
